FAQ

Wisdom teeth usually appear between the ages of 17 and 21 so around this time it's a good idea to schedule a dental exam with your dentist or oral surgeon.

During your dental exam, your dentist will take a panoramic dental X-ray, producing a 2-D image of your entire mouth. This X-ray will help the dentist or oral surgeon determine if your wisdom teeth are erupting normally or if they are impacted and would need to be removed.

A typical dental implant surgery can take between 1-2 hours per implant and when finished most dental implant oral surgeons will fit you with a temporary crown so you won't be without a tooth while your permanent implant is being made.

Broadly speaking, oral and maxillofacial surgery is the term for any surgery that is performed on the tissues of your mouth: this includes your teeth and gums (oral), and your jaw, head, and face (maxillofacial). It is recognized by the American Dental Association as one of the nine specialty areas of dentistry.
